Adella is not just a brand name. It is her mother's middle name. A tribute to the woman whose influence shaped both Kerri's life and her vision for what a scalp health practice could be.

Kerri grew up with Caribbean roots, in a household where she and her mother had completely different hair textures. Her mother's was wavier in texture. Hers was curly. Two very different hair experiences under one roof. What they shared was a persistent, frustrating struggle with dry scalp. And neither of them had the knowledge or the products to actually fix it.

That gap is what drove her to hair school. She graduated in 2015 and spent years building her practice. After returning to the salon post COVID she began noticing the same pattern everywhere. Clients coming in with the same dryness, flaking, and irritation she and her mother had experienced for years. These scalp concerns were leading to breakage, shedding, and slowed growth. And no one was treating the root cause.

So she started experimenting. Blending clean ingredients into custom scalp treatments in the salon. The results on herself and her clients confirmed what she already believed. When the scalp is healthy, everything else follows. What started as targeted salon treatments grew into Adella Hair Studio and eventually into the Adella Hair product line, a collection of scalp balancing products built to deliver professional level results at home.
